DemoDerby
This was the last one second of the demolition derby of the Dubois County Fair. It was main attraction on the last night.

I think America's peace & justice organizations might well take a page from the NASCAR book and sponsor some of these plucky entrants. Y'know... decals aren't necessary; a simple logo, or " slogan " daubed on w/ a decent semi-gloss house paint would be sufficient . A small stipend or six-pack to the "team " to seal the deal. The potential public exposure can't be scoffed at.
Puh-leeze ! Is there anything under God's incredulous gaze that comes close to the exquisite diminuendo played out in the closing moments of a regulation Demolition Derby ? A dignified yet wretchedly sympathetic tableau of flat tires, stripped gears, belching motors, grinding differentials and bent metal drifting hither & fro , resolutely paraded about the obstacle strewn enclosure .... the last contestants lurching jerkily in ever slower arcs thru the gaseous & blue flavored haze.... careening in extreme slo-motion , perpetually backing up now, reverse the only & final option at long last.... the driver's side warning sticks swaying crazily thru the evening's smokey light, signalling the faithful that... YES ! their car is still there !!
